ABOUT THE WEEKEND ACTING WORKSHOP
This intensive Weekend Acting Workshop is designed for beginners, theatre enthusiasts, aspiring actors, and anyone interested in exploring the craft of acting through practical, hands-on training.
Conducted over Saturday and Sunday, this focused program introduces participants to the fundamental principles of acting through a series of theatre-based exercises, improvisations, scene work, and performance techniques.
Participants will work on short scenes and exercises to explore character, relationships, objectives, and dramatic conflict.
Participants will learn to:
• Develop body, voice, and imagination as tools for performance
• Understand the fundamentals of acting and character creation
• Explore emotions, observation, and truthful expression
• Build spontaneity through improvisation exercises
• Learn the basics of storytelling and stage presence
• Improve listening, concentration, and ensemble work

The workshop is highly interactive, practical, and activity driven. Participants will engage in individual and group exercises, improvisations, and scene work designed to develop essential acting skills in a supportive and creative environment.
No prior acting experience is required.
Whether you are exploring theatre for the first time or looking to strengthen your performance skills, this workshop offers a solid foundation in the art of acting.

ABOUT THE TRAINER
Jawed
Theatre Practitioner | Actor | Director
Jawed is an actor, director, and theatre trainer with over 9+ years of experience in the field of theatre. He is a Repertory Actor with Akshara Theatre, one of India's most respected theatre institutions.
Over the years, he has worked extensively across acting, directing, writing, and stagecraft, performing in and contributing to numerous theatrical productions. His experience spans classical texts, contemporary plays, improvisation, and ensemble-based theatre.
As a theatre trainer, Jawed is passionate about introducing aspiring actors and beginners to the craft of acting through practical, hands-on training. His workshops focus on helping participants develop the essential skills required for performance while fostering creativity, discipline, and self-awareness.
His training methodology focuses on:
• Acting fundamentals and character development
• Voice, speech, and body as performance tools
