What does it mean to slurp? WELCOME TO SLURPTOPIA is a surreal, campy, fantasy-driven satirical comedy. Inspired by Y2K internet culture, city pop, and theme restaurants. In Slurptopia, slurp represents the free will one has to follow their impulses - no matter how silly or ill-advised they are.

Living under late-stage capitalism, the citizens of Slurptopia do their best to slurp as they please - however, the ruling class clings desperately to co-opting slurp, manipulating citizens in order to maintain control. What happens when a dazzling goblin uncovers a highly orchestrated Slurpaganda plot that threatens the essence of slurp at its core? Find out at WELCOME TO SLURPTOPIA, running January 10th-25th at 2357 Caniff St. in Hamtramck, MI

Using campy humor to paint an allegory of modern society, WELCOME TO SLURPTOPIA explores themes of impulsivity, hedonism, maximalism, and free will. So, take a seat, and ask yourself - what does it mean to truly slurp?
