Join us for The Zen Arts of Haiku and Shakuhachi at the Zen Center of Syracuse on Sunday, May 31, 1:30–4:00 PM.Spend an afternoon exploring the mystery and wonder of everyday life through haiku poetry and shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute) in a peaceful Zen setting along Onondaga Creek.
Led by Shinge Roshi Sherry Chayat, writer and abbot of the Zen Center, the workshop will include haiku writing, readings from classic and contemporary masters, music by shakuhachi master Karaku Marco Burmester, and time to wander the grounds for inspiration.
$50 • Limited scholarships available • In-person only
