On this day in 1764 the artist and engraver and social critic William Hogarth died. Ben from the Yorkshire Flea has been an admirer of his artistic work since childhood, and as our Vintage and antique retail event falls on the anniversary of his passing we are delighted to commemerate the magnificent body of work he left us some of which will be shared in the discussion tab of this event page.
So as to the event itself. We expect to open with our full complement of 100 traders selling interesting desirable cool old stuff in the foyer and pens at Skipton Auction Mart. we have dealers in:-Ceramics, Glass, Treen, Jewellery, Paintings, Pictures & Prints, Watches, Clocks, Furniture, Textiles, Ephemera, Vintage and Antique Magazines and Books. We have traders in Lighting, Homewares, Taxidermy Natural History & Scientific Curiosities
Vinyl we have Industrial Salvage Vintage Signage, Antique and Vintage Toys & Games. We have many singular near unique unusual and intriguing items that defy easy classification.
One of the host of marvellous things about Flea markets in general and The Yorkshire Flea in particular. is that we never know what finds our skilled and hard working dealers will have sourced, prepared and brought to the event for sale. the category of goods you will NOT find at the fleamarkets we run are new items.
admission to the Flea is £3 per adult and the venue is step free throughout and has wheelchair accessible toilets ample free parking and an onsite cafe. we recommend a minimum of a 90 minute visit to enable you to peruse all the stalls as there is upward of 15 000 individual items for sale at every flea market we organise. We bring our 3 decades of experience and expertise in organising friendly, professional, popular, uncomplicated vintage & antique retail events which are easy and enjoyable to attend both as a seller or a buyer.
