On this day in 1973 the Sidney Opera House was officially opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II after 14 years of construction. The Yorkshire Flea cannot command the levels of recognition that this iconic global landmark enjoys. We do however run a popular and well regarded series of events at the less famous but geographically more convienient Thirsk Auction Mart, hosting between 90 and 100 traders in vintage and antique items.
Expect to find desirable things, including works of art, (pictures prints, embroideries, photographs and tapestries), ceramics, metalware, treen, textiles, ephemera, furniture, glass, homewares, kitchenalia. mirrors, scientific, medical and natural history curiosities, sculpture & industrial salvage. Things that are largely unavailable in mainstream retail environments. Often hard to find, usually interesting, frequently attractive, typically decorative, surprisingly affordable and gathered together for sale by reputable dealers in an indoor, step free venue with an onsite cafe and ample free parking.
The Yorkshire Flea events typically attract 1300+visitors each time. Admission to the event is £3 per adult and accompanied children under16 are free of charge.
Dogs are permitted entry they must be on short leads and any damage or fouling is the responsibility of the person in control of the dog.
All our events have a fully trained paramedic in attendance to provide immediate medical assistance to visitors and exhibitors if required.
We heavily promote the events that we organise both via our varied and substantial online presence and in the physical world with adverts leaflets banners and posters widely displayed to bring the fleamarkets to as wide an audience as we can achieve. We would be delighted to welcome you to this popular, professional, well regarded and friendly event
