To kick off the Robertson Rainforest Festival REPS very first President in 1990, Allan Stiles will be presenting the next REPS evening. He is still a core part of our committee today and looks after our REPS newsletter, Eucryphia. Allan fell in love with rainforest ecology and plant ID during his studies at the University of New England. Allan is deeply passionate about protecting our beautiful, critically endangered rainforest. In his upcoming talk, he will take us on a journey through time, sharing:
Hoddle’s historic map and early local records. The 1860s survey following the Robertson Land Act. Stories of botanist William Woolls' visit to the area. Fossil pollen secrets uncovered from the Wingecarribee Swamp. Vintage aerial photos.

Whether you live in Robertson or are just visiting, you won't want to miss Allan's fascinating deep dive into the history of our special corner of the world.
