๐ŸŽค Guest Speakers:
Shanna Whan โ€“ Founder & CEO, Sober in the Country
Shanna Whan is the rural woman, founder, CEO, and face behind Sober in the Country. An Australian of the Year recipient, she decided to โ€œdo what she could to be part of the changeโ€ after nearly losing her life to alcohol addiction in 2015. Through tireless advocacy, Shanna has grown Sober in the Country from an online blog into a nationally respected charity that is changing the conversation around alcohol in rural Australia and saving lives. She lives in northwest NSW with her husband, โ€˜Timbo,โ€™ and their beloved dogs.
Malinda Guest โ€“ Clinical Psychologist, Boundless Psychology
Malinda Guest is a clinical psychologist, director, and passionate advocate for rural mental health. She has dedicated her career to helping individuals and communities improve communication, build stronger relationships, and navigate mental health challenges.
Malindaโ€™s talk, "A Guide to Effective Communication: Building Stronger Relationships One Conversation at a Time" will cover:
โœ… The TACTICS Framework - A practical take-home approach to improving conversations, resolving conflicts, and deepening connections
โœ… Relationship Challenges and Triumphs - Exploring the unique dynamics of dating and relationships in rural communities, where everyone knows everyone!

Philip Worrad โ€“ Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) Coordinator, NSW Health
With 8 years of experience in rural mental health, Phil Worrad is dedicated to equipping communities with tools to manage mental health challenges. He provides mental health training and workshops, responds to rural natural disasters, and works to connect individuals with professional support.
