What if a familiar song could help us discover something new about the world right in front of us?
Join Wild Notes Foundation at Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center for a free, interactive family music experience where familiar songs become doorways into the living world around us.
Professional cellist and music educator Dr. Amanda Guilfoyle will perform favorites including A Whole New World, Winnie the Pooh, You've Got a Friend in Me, Circle of Life, How Far I'll Go, Colors of the Wind, and more—while inviting kids and their grown-ups to explore the real-life ideas hidden inside them.
🌳 Who might be living in the woods around us?
🦋 How do animals find their way across enormous distances?
🐿️ What are some surprising ways living things help one another?
👂 And what happens when we stop thinking of nature as the background and start listening to everything happening around us?
Throughout this approximately 30-minute program, children will be invited to answer questions, make observations, use their imaginations, and listen alongside the cello.
Kids are encouraged to participate! No need to sit perfectly still, and no musical knowledge is needed. Curiosity is enough. Grown-ups can play, too. 💚

🌿 What to Bring
Bring a picnic blanket or portable camping chair for seating! The program is planned to take place outdoors on the Nature Center grounds, weather permitting. Families will meet at the Nature Center upon arrival, and staff will direct you to that day's program location.
In case of inclement weather, the program will move indoors to the Nature Center's education room.
The Worlds We Imagine is presented by Wild Notes Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit creating free, place-responsive classical music experiences that help people listen more closely, notice more deeply, and build meaningful relationships with the living world.
