THE WORLD PROVIDER is the superheroic musical alter ego of mild-mannered Montreal Malcolm Fraser. With a rotating cast of collaborators, The World Provider has been providing the world with mind-sticking melodies, low-budget synth rock, and theatrical spectacle since 1999. Born of the same fertile Toronto music community that spawned Peaches, Feist, Chilly Gonzales, Mocky and Taylor Savvy, The World Provider has been based in Montreal since 2001. Since then, the World Provider has released six records, toured internationally, and collaborated with musicians from Montreal and beyond.

AMANDA BRAAM is a singer/songwriter from Kitchener, Ontario, known for her rich harmonies, crunchy chords, catchy melodies, and vivid imagery. Her debut album, ladybug basement, was released in 2021. Shortly thereafter she won the Dorothy Shoemaker Songwriting Contest and Western University's Musician Competition. In April 2024, she released her follow-up Paper Cranes, alongside two music videos. She plays shows throughout Ontario both solo and with her bandmates The Paper Cranes. She’s also part of a jazz-folk duo The Roundabout Dance, and plays drums for the noise-rock band My Angel. Amanda is currently attending Wilfrid Laurier University in the music therapy program. She works with the community music initiative “The Lullaby Project”, which pairs at-risk mothers with a songwriter to write and record an original song for their children. She plays a lot in her hometown of KW, and you can often catch her busking at the Kitchener Market.
