The work of ARCh (Assisted Reading for Children)

Our guest speaker this month is Emma Orton, who will talk about the work of ARCh (Assisted Reading for Children) and what they are doing to support children across Oxfordshire. A former teacher, Emma will also talk about current issues around reading in primary schools: one in three children say they don't enjoy reading for pleasure and only one in five read every day. This year is the National Year of Reading, so the perfect time to shine a spotlight on this vital skill.
