Follow the characters, solve the clues, and see if you can complete your quest to find the hidden Prince. Along the trail, families will discover curious characters, woodland riddles, themed displays, games, and summer surprises inspired by a world where history has lost its way.

Step into The Woodland of Curiosity at Bannockburn House for a magical family adventure through our historic woodland and grounds.

This family-friendly outdoor event is designed for children and grown-ups to enjoy together, with timed entry slots to help keep the experience safe, relaxed, and enjoyable for everyone.

Your visit includes:

- A magical woodland trail through the grounds of Bannockburn House

Parking is included in your ticket. There is a car park at the top of the drive near the front gate.

Suitable Attire

Bannockburn House is undergoing conservation and restoration works. The woodland walk has uneven surfaces. Please wrap up warm and wear sturdy shoes for walking in the woods. No high-heels or flip-flops will be permitted.

Children

The house is currently undergoing conservation and restoration works. Many areas of the site are off limits. All children under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult.

Accessibility Summary

Limited Blue Badge parking is offered near the house on the drive. However, there is a long walk to the entrance of the house. Most of this event will take place out on the grounds which are not presently suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs not designed for rougher ground. While we are planning to expand our accessibility friendly options, we are limited at present and apologize for any inconveniences. Currently ramp access is limited to the ground floors only. For your safety this event will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather with winds over 60mph. We will attempt to reschedule the event should this be necessary.
