The (Wizard of) Oz Grand Rendezvous 2026

The (Wizard of) Oz Grand Rendezvous 2026 brings together fans of L. Frank Baum’s magical world for a relaxed and engaging West Coast gathering celebrating Oz literature, history, and community. Whether you’re a longtime collector, reader of the Oz books, or simply someone who loves the enduring world of Oz, this event offers a welcoming place to connect with friends and fellow enthusiasts.

Our special guest is Paul Miles Schneider, author of a modern three-volume Oz story. As a child, Schneider carried on a fascinating correspondence with Margaret Hamilton, the iconic Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. During the event he will share stories from that remarkable exchange and discuss his work expanding the Oz universe for modern readers.

Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy conversation with other Oz fans, and experience a miniature recreation of Baum’s Bazaar, stocked with intriguing and exotic wares.

Registration is $100 through April 1, and $120 thereafter. Ticket covers the event and lunch. Hotel discount available for event attendees.
