Kicking off their 10th Anniversary Season, One Stage Family Theatre takes us back “Over the Rainbow” with The Wizard of Oz. Based on the 1939 MGM film and L. Frank Baum’s original 1900 novel, the story follows Dorothy Gale and her beloved dog Toto as they’re swept up by a cyclone and transported to the magical Land of Oz. Along the way, they meet a colorful cast of characters—the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion, Glinda the Good, the Wicked Witch, and of course, the Great Oz himself. Featuring all the songs you love from the original film, this heartwarming production is sure to remind us all that there truly is no place like home.
