Follow Dorothy on her unforgettable journey to the Land of Oz, where she encounters all your favorite characters – the Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, Glinda, and the Wicked Witch. With its unforgettable songs and magical moments, this production stays true to the spirit of the original movie while adding a new layer of excitement and wonder. Perfect for families, this show is filled with heart and adventure.
The Wizard of Oz is timeless. L. Frank Baum’s beloved story of a young girl’s adventure in a magical land, first published in 1900, has been entertaining audiences for well over a century. MGM’s blockbuster 1939 film adaptation, featuring the remarkable songs of Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg, along with the brilliant instrumental music of Herbert Stothart, elevated the popular novel to even greater heights. The Royal Shakespeare Company adaptation remains very true to the original film and has all the classic lines and songs you’ll recognize.
This production is directed by Hannah Corneau, whose knowledge of all things "Oz" can be traced back to her time as Elphaba in Wicked on Broadway. Her expertise brings a fresh and captivating new perspective to this beloved classic.
Starring Molly Glowacki as Dorothy Gale, Caleb Sheedy as Hunk and Scarecrow, Glen Morrice as Hickory and Tinman, Wendell Scherer as Zeke and The Cowardly Lion, Petula Beckles as Aunt Em and Glinda, Tonya Kennedy as Almira Gulch and The Wicked Witch of the West, David Shakopi as Professor Marvel and The Wizard of Oz, Fred Fishberg as Uncle Henry, and KT Ryan as Emerald City Guard.
Featuring the talents of ensemble and supporting cast: Mackenzie Dolan, Coraline Dell'Amore, Emmett Gallinger, Sephyra Jago, Sabine Johnson, Clarabelle Kaufman, Gabby Licari, Carolyn Lieberman, Elias Molinaro, KatieRose Morano, Jessica Osterhoudt, Isaiah Ricks, Zofia Rahne Rosado, Archer Ryan, Conan Ryan, Harvey Ryan, Aidan Sheehy, Ellie Walker, Lennon Winters, Mia Zagami.
This production contains: fog, strobing light effects
For families with young children: Please note that this production is a full-length performance, running over 2 hours with a 15-minute intermission. Additionally, the Wicked Witch and other elements may be frightening for younger audience members, so please consider this when planning your visit.
THE WIZARD OF OZ is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC.
