Why join us
Few things bring us into the present moment as quickly as horses do. They are powerful and deeply sensitive, and they respond to who we really are, not who we’re trying to be. In their presence, you may become more aware of what you’re carrying: tension in your body, thoughts on repeat, places you’ve been holding on. This evening offers space to meet whatever arises with curiosity, and, if it feels right, to let yourself soften, breathe, and rest alongside the herd.
Horses live fully in the present. They read the body more than words, so they invite us to slow down, breathe, and feel what’s actually going on inside. They become gentle mirrors, reflecting back what we might be too busy to notice in our everyday lives.
In a world that asks us to constantly be doing, this is a chance to simply be. Witnessing their strength and tenderness side by side, many of us find a sense of awe and a quiet reminder that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves.
There’s nothing to do here and nothing to get right. Judgment stays at the door.

- working on deepening your self-love
- looking for presence amid a hectic life
- simply drawn to horses, whether you loved them as a girl or have never stood next to one
What to expect
- 6:00: We’ll open with a short welcome, a grounding practice, and a simple safety walk-through.
- Then: Five to six horses will roam freely in the arena. Sit, stand, walk among them, or simply watch. You might share what’s on your heart with them, or let yourself connect without words. You’re also welcome to journal, draw, read, or play an instrument in their presence.
- Come and go as you like. Step in and out of the arena whenever you need, and stay as long as feels right, up until 7:30.
Merrill and Erin will be there the whole time to answer questions and hold a safe, supportive space.
What to bring
- Warm layers. The arena is indoors but not heated, so dress appropriately to be comfortable and cozy.
- Closed-toe shoes or boots.
- Optional: a journal, book, art supplies, or an instrument
Open to all women. No horse experience is needed at all. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
