From the refreshing sparkling wines of Penedès to the dramatic mountain reds of Priorat, discover why Catalonia has become one of Europe's most exciting wine regions. Through a guided tasting of sparkling, white, and red wines, you'll explore the region's rich history, distinctive native grape varieties, and diverse terroirs while experiencing the remarkable breadth and character of one of Spain's most compelling food and wine cultures.

This one will be taught by our pal, Steven Alexander, owner of Pyrenees Wine Merchants--a boutique wine importer dedicated to working exclusively with independent family growers in Spain and Portugal.

· We are within two blocks of both the Main Street Metra and Main Street "L" stops

· You'll be sampling seven wines: please eat prior to class!

· This is a sit-down class as opposed to a casual wine tasting: please keep chatter to a minimum
