What?

The Wild Show brings together three artists exploring nature’s many moods—from desert stillness and animal instinct to digital bonsai and abstract rebellion. Each piece invites viewers to reconsider what “wild” means: not just untamed, but unexpected, layered, and alive.

Who?

Sarah SowardWildlife art with a twist!

Sarah works in a range of mediums all tied together by her love of animals. There's a sense of aliveness in the animals she paints. She explores themes of mythology, astronomy, and emotion. She'll be showing:

• Contemporary Surrealism in the form of wildlife paintings (new Starry Nights paintings and more!)
• Modernism-inspired rhinoceros artwork that explores color, pattern, and texture through repetition (think Andy Warhol). It's a reduce-reuse-recycle project created-in-part with materials from SCRAP
• Rain Paintings! These pieces are created with actual rain as it falls from the sky.

Sarah's purpose in making nature-forward artwork is to increase awareness and respect for animals and nature in general. She figures that if someone learns to care about something they will be more likely to protect it.

Terry HastingsTaming landscapes and models with minimalism and Speedos

Terry explores movement, color, and identity through photography and digital collage. His roots in fashion and theatre come across in his multidisciplinary practice that uses layered compositions to merge spontaneity with structured design.

Nothing is off limits for Terry's art. He works with figures, landscape, layers, and minimalism to bring some very Palm Springs themes to life.

Alane Levinsohn

Desert landscape and figurative artist

Alane approaches her representational landscape work from the abstract. Her goal is "to convey a tiny slice of the inhospitable beauty of the desert on a canvas." Whether desert landscapes, wildlife, or the human figure, her work puts emotion center stage. Recent works include epic landscapes, gold-leafed botanical paintings, and charming animal portraits.
