The Wheel of the Year Celebrations
About this Event
The wheel of the year is a way of celebrating the changing seasons, nature, and community. Rooted in Celtic spirtuality, it's a way to recognize the cycles of ever-changing life.
There are eight sabbats (seasonal festivals), each with its own themes and ways of celebrating. At this time, we have three festivals coming up.
Midsummer or Litha - a celebration of the longest day of the year, joy, light, and gratitude for the Sun.
To celebrate, we’ll be painting flower pots, manifesting for the summer months, and enjoying sun tea.
Lammas - a celebration of the first harvest, and gratitude for the gifts of Mother Earth.
To celebrate, we'll be building our own bouquets, creating abundance simmer pots, and enjoying the ‘first harvest’.
The Autumn Equinox or Mabon - a celebration of the end of harvest, the end of summer, and a return to stillness.
We’ll be celebrating with a tea ceremony, a gratitude ritual, and by making our own altar besoms.
