ABOUT THE MUSIC

A brilliant Fanfare opens our concert of music from France. Two of the greatest composers of opera in the French language show what they can do without words: Francis Poulenc's (The Dialogues of the Carmelites) witty and charming Sinfonietta, and Bizet's (Carmen) romantically neo-classical Symphony in C.
