The Week with all the Paleontology - Week #1 - JMDC's Discovery Day Camp

Week One - The Week with all the Paleontology - Daily 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday, June 24th to Friday, June 28th.

Explorers will be on a closed campus. For drop-off, gates open at 8:45 am for check-in, program starts at 9:00 am, and gates will close at 9:15 am. For pick-up, gates open at 12:45 pm, program ends at 1:00 pm and Explorers should be on their way home by 1:15 pm. If you have questions, please call our office, 951.685.5818. Discovery Day Camp Explorers will work together to make discoveries while participating in JMDC’s weekly Discovery Expeditions. Each week is a different theme focusing on science. Expect to get messy, go exploring, meet new friends, make discoveries, and have fun while doing all of that and more.

Week #1 - Spend a week immersed in fossil fun. From the earliest trilobites that crawled around the muddy ocean floor, to the giant dinosaurs that roamed the earth, to ice age fossils more recently extinct, Explorers will discover fun facts about all kinds of fossils. Explorers will keep a journal recording of each day’s fossils, make fossil crafts, and take home real fossils at the end of the week.
