THE WEC 2026 SEASON STARTS NOW: THE PROLOGUE IN QATAR! 🇶🇦Formula 1 isn't the only series with a massive pre-season shakeup! The FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) officially begins its 2026 campaign with The Prologue—the full grid test session.
DATES: MARCH 22–23, 2026 LOCATION: Lusail International Circuit, Qatar
This two-day session is the first and only time all the Hypercar behemoths and the exciting new LMGT3 cars will run together before the season opener.
The focus is immediately intense:
Hypercar Power:
Teams like Toyota, Ferrari, Porsche, and the new Genesis entry will be dialing in their performance.
GT3 Debut: It is the official competitive debut for the customer teams of Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ford, McLaren, and Mercedes-AMG in the new LMGT3 era.
The stability of the new LMGT3 class, with 14 major manufacturers in the championship, means the competition is going to be fierce right from the first lap!
