The Way Roots Grow is a visual group art exhibition and poetry book release by Bryttney-Mischele Salvant, rooted in ten years of creative practice, memory, and becoming.

This exhibition invites viewers into a living archive — one that honors where we come from, what we carry, and how we continue to grow.

This event marks the opening of The Way Roots Grow, an immersive gallery experience introducing a poetry and art book ten years in the making.

Rather than a traditional book launch, the release unfolds through a curated exhibition — allowing the work to be experienced slowly, visually, and in community.

Guests are invited to explore original artwork, poetic language, and shared reflection within the gallery space.

The Way Roots Grow is a collection of poetry and visual work spanning the last decade of Bryttney-Mischele’s artistic journey. The book explores lineage, growth, grief, joy, and transformation — offering space to witness both the roots we inherit and the ones we choose.

The book will be available for viewing, conversation, and preorder during the exhibition.

The exhibition features a group of artists responding to the theme The Way Roots Grow, each offering their own interpretation of growth, ancestry, and creative lineage.

Participating artists will be announced January 15.

Throughout the exhibition, additional public programs will take place, including poetry readings, artist conversations, healing-centered gatherings, and community experiences.
