The Volunteer Film Screening with Director Panel Discussion

Join us for a screening of the national award winning documentary short The Volunteer, followed by a panel discussion with director David Brodie.

The film tells the powerful story of Japanese American Vietnam veteran Bruce Nakashima, who reflects on his combat experiences after being mistaken for the enemy by fellow U.S. forces during the Vietnam War and his journey toward healing, belonging, and reconnection with the soldier who saved his life.

The event will also include a resource fair featuring community organizations and local clubs. This gathering is open to the public and all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
