THE VOCAL PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP/ November 1st

Welcome to the November 1st Vocal Performance Workshop! Before the holiday rush is a good time for some "me" time and if you want to get more comfortable and strong in your singing and performing this is the class for you! We will concentrate, as always, on phrasing, communication, storytelling, focus, stage presence, stage fright, movement, and microphone technique - everything you need to become a better singer. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned performer, this workshop will concentrate on developing your individual strengths.
Singers should have 2 songs fully memorized for the workshop (one will be a backup, in case of extra time or a desire to switch material). Whatever the genre, pick songs that say something you want to say and allow you to reveal yourself in your performance. This workshop and the following will form the base for an upcoming performance at Pangea in the East Village. We will choose the repertoire for the show from songs done in the class. Our music director will be the fabulously talented JD Smurthwaite. Info about JD is in the comments section of this page, as is my bio..
The cost of the workshop is $150.00 and can be paid with Venmo (contact me for the Venmo link either here or via email or text) or to me directly on the day of the workshop. If you have any questions or need to reach me, my email is [email protected] and my phone is (917)526-0504. We will be working in one of New York's loveliest cabaret rooms, Pangea at 178 Second Ave, bet 11th & 12th. I look forward to working with you and making music! These workshops are a safe, fun, productive way to improve and solidify your talent
