Frankie Gavin is one of the most celebrated fiddle players in Irish traditional music and a true icon of the genre. Hailing from Corrandulla, County Galway, Frankie first rose to prominence as a teenage prodigy, winning the All-Ireland Fiddle Championship at just 17.
Best known as the founder of the groundbreaking band De Dannan, Frankie helped revolutionise Irish music by blending traditional roots with vibrant contemporary energy. His electrifying fiddle style, renowned for its speed, precision and passion, has thrilled audiences worldwide for decades.
For this special performance, Frankie will be joined by his brother Seán Gavin, an accomplished musician in his own right, alongside acclaimed pianist Catherine McHugh, whose dynamic accompaniment brings a rich and driving energy to the music.
