👻History of West Lavington👻
West Lavington Village Hall has been at the heart of village life for over sixty years. The original hall was built in 1964 and officially opened in October 1965, serving the communities of West Lavington and the surrounding Wiltshire countryside ever since.
Over the decades, it has welcomed generations of local residents, hosting everything from community gatherings and celebrations to theatre productions, clubs and village events.
Situated on the edge of Salisbury Plain, the hall stands within a village whose history stretches back to Saxon times. Formerly known as Bishop’s Lavington, the village was associated with the Bishops of Salisbury for centuries and has witnessed nearly a thousand years of English history.
Today, the hall remains a focal point for the community, blending modern facilities with a rich local heritage
