Everyday is Juneteenth is coming to Chicago!
On March 14th, we’re pulling up with purpose and possibility.
Join us for an evening of conversation, connection, and collective growth as we explore how literacy in all its forms helps us survive, imagine, and build better futures.
This isn’t just about reading books.
It’s about reading the world.
Together, we’ll dig into how media, mental health, civic systems, education, and employment shape our everyday lives and how understanding them gives us power.
Meet the Panelists:
• Brandon Tillery (Media Literacy)
Cultural Critic + Host of Media Literacy 101 on @everydayisjuneteenth
• Prince Jimmar (Mental Health Literacy)
Co-Founder of Rebels for Peace | SEL Nonprofit
• Risa Lanier (Civic / Legal Literacy)

• Jermaine Anderson (Employment & Entrepreneurial Literacy)
Founder & Executive Director of I Am A Gentleman, Inc. | Clothing Nonprofit
• Ja’Maya Hawkins (Academic Literacy)
Assistant Director, TRIO Upward Bound | Family Centered Educational Agency
