ABOUT THE BOOK:
The Call of the Wild By Jack London
Published in 1903, The Call of the Wild is Jack London's most celebrated adventure novel and a timeless classic of world literature.
Set during the Klondike Gold Rush in the Yukon wilderness of northwestern Canada, the story follows Buck, a powerful and pampered dog who is stolen from his comfortable home in California and sold into the harsh world of sled-dog work. Forced to survive in a brutal environment, Buck gradually sheds the comforts of civilization and reconnects with the primal instincts buried deep within him.
Told largely from Buck's perspective, the novel is a compelling exploration of survival, adaptation, leadership, and the enduring pull of nature. Through Buck's extraordinary journey, London captures the tension between civilization and the wild, making the novel as relevant today as it was over a century ago.
