The International Saxophone Symposium is held each year in early January. The two-day event, first hosted by the Navy Band in 1978, features a mix of performances, masterclasses and lectures designed for musicians of all ages. Friday night's concert will feature the Concert Band and guest soloists Makoto Hondo, ~Nois, and Musician 1st Class Harrison Clarke.This event is open to the public and no tickets are required. The U.S. Navy Band Commodores will also perform a concert on Saturday, January 11 at 8 p.m. with special guest Will Vinson.
