The Unclaimed (LA) with CHEEX and The Only Living Boys + Thee Day Walkers

are legendary Los Angeles sixties-punk / garage rock cult heroes, originally formed in 1979 by Shelley Ganz and Sid Griffin. Their raw 1980 Moxie EP helped spark the U.S. neo-garage scene, and their sound still hits with fuzzed-out guitars, psych-pop hooks, Farfisa bite, and dark garage swagger. Their 2024 album Creature of the Maui Loon was recorded before Ganz’s passing, and the band now continues with guitarist/vocalist Patrick Cleary, who joined Shelley in the reformed Unclaimed lineup and helps carry the band’s songs into the next chapter. Their first single from the upcoming LP, “Here’s The Door,” is out now, with a new full-length of Shelley Ganz originals due this summer on Outro Records.
