Join Southwestern College Theatre Arts for The Unbelieving by Marin Gazzaniga, directed by Ruff Yeager.
We often hear stories of people who go from non-believer to believer. We seldom hear the opposite journey.
Using the actual words of former clergy members from a groundbreaking study by philosopher Daniel C. Dennett and qualitative researcher Linda LaScola, The Unbelieving explores the experiences of ministers, priests, rabbis, and religious leaders who have lost their faith while serving their congregations. These powerful and deeply human stories reveal the struggles, courage, humor, and profound choices faced by individuals deciding whether to continue living in secret or risk everything by telling the truth.
