For all Runway and Fashion categories in this edition of The Ultra Ball, we want to see your personal expression at its highest level.Whether your aesthetic is camp, kitsch, dramatic, or classic, this is your moment to showcase the silhouettes that represent you the most, with one single rule: the use of non-conventional materials.
From paper to plastic, to metal—whether the material is light and ethereal or bold and three-dimensional—a significant part, or the entirety, of your outfit must be made of “non-fabric” materials.
Of course, bases or internal structures made with traditional tailoring materials are allowed, as long as the external design clearly features one or more non-conventional materials.
And if your choice is so well executed that it looks like a fabric outfit, be ready to show references to demonstrate your creative process (especially for Fashion categories).
NB: No paper references will be accepted — references must be shown only on digital devices.

In questa edizione di the ultra ball vogliamo la vostra espressione personale ai massimi livelli. Che voi siate fan di una estetica camp, kitsch, drammatica, classica, potrete mostrare le silhouette che più vi rappresentano con una unica regola : l ‘utilizzo di materiali non convenzionali Dalla carta, alla plastica, al ferro, che sia un materiale leggero ed etereo, o corposo e tridimensionale, una grande parte o tutto l’outfit dovrà essere composto da una “non stoffa”. Ovviamente sono ammesse basi o strutture fatte con materiali sartoriali, purché sia ben visibile il design esterno con uno o più materiali non convenzionali. E se la vostra scelta sarà così ben fatta che sembrerà un outfit fatto di stoffa, portate references per dimostrare il processo creativo (specie per le categorie fashion).

Make your choice carefully. Since these are performance categories, we want outfits that are functional and allow movement.It is enough for the multiplication to be clearly visible, even if it does not cover 100% of the outfit.

We stay within the Pop Art theme and embrace the meaning behind the genius of its most iconic artists: taking an ordinary, mass-produced object and elevating it to a work of art, questioning the idea of uniqueness itself.
Bring this concept into the present day.Choose an object from everyday life, born from modern consumerism, and turn it into your statement by performing your realness.
EXAMPLE: I choose a famous comic book as my object (the comic is strongly connected to Pop Art, but you may choose any other common, everyday object) and create a situation in which I read the comic while contextualizing my realness. You may interact directly with the judges or enter with your house members/ballroom friends. Do not hold back your creativity!
