About this Event

The Ulster Scots and the US Declaration of Independence


The conference is organised by the Francis Hutcheson Institute and will be chaired by the eminent journalist Ruth Dudley-Edwards.

The theme of the conference is Liberty, Equality, the Enlightenement: The Ulster-Scots and the American Declaration of Independence. The programme includes six speakers distinguished in their fields with each covering important aspects of the theme.

There will be opportunites for questions and discussion. Lunch and refreshment breaks are provided free.
