Relationships at the Heart of Education

The National Association for Pastoral Care in Education (NAPCE) and Stranmillis University College , Belfast are pleased to announce details of the 2026 conference. We are delighted to have Dr Anne Emerson to make the Keynote address to consider how staff can best foster relationships that will build a sense of schoool belonging and autonomy in pupils of all ages. This will be followed by presentations from awards finalists and winners form the 2025 National Awards for Pastoral Care in Education organised by NAPCE. These presentations to share good practice will include St Johns the Baptist's College,Portadown who were the Pastoral School of the year in the 2025 Awards talking about excellence in pastoral care. The event will conclude with an opportunity for delegates to engage in an interactive group discussion with the speakers and presenters. Tea, coffee and scones will be provided for delegates.
