The Truth About Reading Documentary Screening

Join the San Diego Council on Literacy and San Diego Public Library for a screening of The Truth About Reading, a new eye-opening documentary from Emmy-Award® winning director Nick Nanton and produced by San Diego-based nonprofit, the John Corcoran Foundation!

The Truth About Reading looks at the illiteracy problem in America, highlighting people who learned to read as adults, and sharing proposed solutions for working towards a future where every child learns to read proficiently.

Following the film screening, we’ll be joined by John Corcoran, author of The Teacher Who Couldn’t Read, for a discussion.
