The Trip step into the Nottingham spotlight with their Stealth debut on Saturday 15th November, a night that promises to capture the essence of the 90s house revival while pushing it firmly into the future.
The project of Max van Dijk and Oliver Hiam, the duo behind the long-established Tessellate parties and label, The Trip bring over a decade of dancefloor experience to their productions and performances. After years of curating unforgettable nights at Corsica Studios and booking some of the most forward-thinking DJs on the circuit, they began making music as The Trip in 2020—quickly proving themselves to be both talented DJs and Producers, with a knack for creating music that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.
Their records are defined by sample-heavy, groove-led cuts that weave together UKG swing, progressive depth, tech house precision, and the euphoria of 90s house classics. This distinct sound has earned them wide-ranging support across the underground and beyond, with their tracks becoming staples for DJs such as Job Jobse, Palms Trax, Moxie, Shanti Celeste, Avalon Emerson, Sally C, Eliza Rose, and Pangaea. Job Jobse even cited their 2024 release Fantasy Traxx as the inspiration for his summer mix, where he showcased five of their tracks.Alongside Fantasy Traxx, their follow-up Uncovered further cemented their reputation for no-miss releases. Both records were widely played out across festivals and clubs, receiving major airplay on BBC Radio 1, with Sarah Story dubbing them one of the most exciting new production duos of the moment. With their newest release Clubdance 2025, the duo continue to produce some of the best new music coming out of the underground, and have cemented themselves as an unstoppable force.
