In the wake of his father's death, the young Prince Hamlet arrives in his home country of Denmark to discover that his uncle Claudius has married Hamlet's mother and taken the throne for himself. When a spirit resembling the late king appears on the castle grounds and tells Hamlet he was murdered by Claudius, the prince embarks on an elaborate quest for revenge. But Hamlet's revenge plot will come at a bloody and devastating price.
