Free Reign Theatre Company presents Shakespeare's immortal classic, "The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark" at the Tom S. Gettys Center Courtroom in Rock Hill.
In the wake of his father's death, the young Prince Hamlet arrives in his home country of Denmark to discover that his uncle Claudius has married Hamlet's mother and taken the throne for himself. When a spirit resembling the late king appears on the castle grounds and tells Hamlet he was murdered by Claudius, the prince embarks on an elaborate quest for revenge. But Hamlet's revenge plot will come at a bloody and devastating price.
Widely considered one of the greatest tragedies in English literature, Shakespeare's "Hamlet" is a classic story of murder, revenge, power, and madness.
