Learn the basics of textile design as you create your own repeating pattern and print it on a premium organic cotton tote bag. Together we will construct a repeating pattern made of hand-drawn elements before turning it into a block print. We will practice printing on paper and fabric, exploring different layouts and colors, then we will print on our tote bags. No prior experience with printmaking is necessary. Skills include: pattern design, block carving, printmaking on fabric. Each student will go home with their one of a kind tote bag, reusable printing block, paper and fabric prints, and notebook. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Skill Level: Beginner friendly, no experience necessary.
