Back by popular demand!�Fifteen years after its sold-out debut in 2010, The Ticking Clock returns to Ukiah Players Theatre for a powerful and timely revival.Written by Mendocino County playwright Jody Gehrman and directed by Rose Bell, this bold ensemble play explores the choices women face around motherhood—whether to become a parent, not become a parent, or navigate everything in between. Through humor, honesty, and deeply human storytelling, The Ticking Clock shines a light on decisions that ripple through families, communities, and generations.
This 2026 production features a remarkable cast of 25 local women, sharing stories that resonate far beyond the stage. And while the themes center around women’s experiences, this play is for everyone—anyone who has ever confronted expectations, identity, or the “ticking clock” of life’s big moments.
