We invite you to join us on World Labyrinth Day, Saturday, May 2, 2026, for an ancient walking meditation that brings together body and mind to connect to one’s inner self.
The labyrinth is a pathway that leads us to three R’s of a labyrinth walk: Release, Receive, and Reflect, and their importance for everyday mental, spiritual and emotional well-being
- Release (Walking into the Labyrinth): As you walk inward, you let go of the distractions, stresses and chatter of daily life to quiet the mind.
- Receive (Resting at the Center of the Labyrinth): At the center, you pause to rest, meditate and receive insight, peace or guidance.
- Return (Walking Back into Life): While walking out of the labyrinth, you integrate the experience, bringing the insights or calm back into your everyday life.
As we walk through the labyrinth, we become aware of our body, especially our breathing and heart, to embrace inner peace, clarity, and focus.
Come experience the three R’s for yourself May 2.
Schedule:
- 11 a.m. Reflection and discussion
- 12:15 p.m. Shared meal
- 1 p.m. Walk the labyrinth and pray for peace
Suggested Offering $15
What is World Labyrinth Day
World Labyrinth Day is celebrated every year on the first Saturday in May with the theme “Walking as One at 1.” An estimated 5,000 people in 35 countries will be walking labyrinths on May 3 at 1 p.m. local time, so for 24 hours, the world will be engulfed in this “moving meditation for world peace.”
Why walk a labyrinth?
Labyrinths have been used for spiritual healing and prayer services for centuries. The circular paths are designed to encourage transformation and awakening as a person walks through and meditates, prays, or reflects. The transformation can be psychological, personal or spiritual.
Why walk the labyrinth at Precious Blood Renewal Center?
Our labyrinth is central to our mission, which is to foster reconciliation and renewal in society, to bring healing and hope to fractured people. Our Reconciliation Labyrinth was dedicated in August 2016 to commemorate the Year of Mercy declared by Pope Francis.
