The Third Paradise
About this Event
Join us on Saturday, September 12 for a participatory performance by Matilde Nuzzo and Francesca Malverti (LENSart), in collaboration with Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto, the Italian Cultural Institute of Toronto, and National accessArts Centre.
This performance is created by the people who attend. Through simple movement and shared actions, participants will come together to form The Third Paradise symbol, creating a collective artwork that celebrates connection, inclusion, and community. Attendees are encouraged to wear a plain white shirt.
Inspired by the vision of renowned Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, The Third Paradise uses human connection to bridge differences. Represented by three connected loops, the symbol reflects the idea that when different people, experiences, and perspectives come together, they can create a shared future without losing what makes them unique.
Bringing together neurotypical and neurodivergent participants of all ages, this performance invites us to explore what an accessible, caring community can look like in real time. Through quiet coordination, visual cues, and shared movement, participants will collectively bring the symbol to life.
Join us to take part in, or witness, a powerful expression of dialogue, empathy, and belonging.
