The Tempest

On a remote island, the magician Prospero lives with his daughter Miranda. Once the Duke of Naples, he was betrayed by his brother Antonio, and now lives exiled along with a mischievous sprite named Ariel and a strange creature named Caliban. Through strange providence, a ship carrying the King of Naples, Prospero's treacherous brother Antonio, and a host of other schemers, ventures close to the island prompting Prospero to conjure a tempest to bring the group into his clutches. Betrayals, conspiracies, and nefarious plots ensue, but also quite a bit of laughter and even some weddings before the end!
Often regarded as Shakespeare's final play (though he co-wrote some afterward), the play grapples with themes of loss, and forgiveness, as well as colonization and the nature of power, framed by a character who wields magic in a manner oddly similar to a playwright...

Performances are Saturday November 7th and Sunday November 8th.
There are two casts, with one group performing at 12pm on both days and another at 3pm on both days.
