The 3rd annual Tehachapi Wind and Kite Festival is taking flight in Tehachapi on June 13th. This magical event welcomes families from across Tehachapi and Kern County to come fly kites, enjoy food, dance to live music, shop at local vendor booths and learn about Tehachapi's unique energy industry. At this event, everyone comes together to celebrate Wind, family and connection. This event is even larger this year with the collaboration of the Community Partners Event by Golden Hills CSD and a fun Movie Night by Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Parks District taking place in the evening. Come see our partners in action and learn about how they serve Tehachapi. Stay after the sun goes down and watch a fun family movie. We can't wait to see you! Thank you Cerro Coso Community College, Loop Newspaper, Terra-Gen, AES, Sim Sanitation, Major Plumbing and Lil 'Ntertainment for sponsoring this event! Thank you Sim Sanitation for supplying free kites for kids to fly at the festival. Thank you Tehachapi Amatuer Radio Assoc. for volunteering to help with traffic and the parking lot, keeping guests safe.
