The Tamworth and District Civic Society (TDCS) holds its annual Tamworth Lecture on Æethelflaed Day, Friday 12th June at 7.30 p.m. in St Editha's Church, Tamworth.
This year's guest speaker is historian and author Professor David Woodman of the University of Cambridge, who will address us on the subject of:
’The First King of England: Æthelstan and the Birth of a Kingdom’.
Prof. Woodman will be signing copies of his book about Æthelstan published last year exclusively available to purchase on the night from the Church Bookshop.
