This CommUnity Art Project is funded in part by the City of Flagstaff’s Beautification & Arts Commission and is being led by Professor Helen Hawley, a visual artist from Missouri who works in painting, poetry, and sculpture, mixing materials and words in unexpected ways. Her projects have traveled to Chicago, New York, and Beijing. She teaches at Northern Arizona University and leads workshops full of experimentation, imagination, and the joy of making something new.
