The Sullivan Sisters are a rising bluegrass band known for their blazing instrumental skills, sister harmonies, and distinctive blend of traditional bluegrass and contemporary originals. Sisters Soraya (guitar, vocals) and Luciya (banjo, vocals) Sullivan began playing bluegrass while growing up in North Carolina and carried that passion with them when their family relocated to Chicago. They have gained national recognition through performances at festivals such as MerleFest, Planet Bluegrass, and the Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Museum, and have appeared at numerous venues throughout the Chicago area, most notably headlining multiple sold out shows at Evanston SPACE. The Sullivan Sisters were selected as an Official Showcase Artist at IBMA 2025, and earned third place in the 2025 RockyGrass band competition. Their debut EP, Carolina Bluebird, was released in August 2025, and they most recently signed with the Nashville based label Dark Shadow Recording.
The Sullivan Sisters are proud to feature new members Sammy Mougin on bass, Gabe Zinser on mandolin, and Finn McGuiness on fiddle.
