The Story Lodge: An Indigenous Literary & Book Fair
We are so excited to officially announce The Story Lodge: An Indigenous Literary & Book Fair, happening Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 11 AM to 5 PM at Indigenous Roots Cultural Arts Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The Story Lodge is a gathering for Indigenous stories, books, language, publishing, art, and community. Come spend the day with Indigenous authors, publishers, bookstores, poets, artists, educators, literary organizations, and book lovers.
This year’s theme is Máagada Aru Óodi Mirísh, honoring August as “When the Berries Ripen Moon” in Hidatsa. The theme reflects a season of gathering, abundance, story, and community.
We’ll have books, zines, literary art, bookish goods, author panels, poetry, short story readings, children’s story time, workshops, press and media opportunities, and more.
Vendor, author, publisher, presenter, artist, library, bookstore, and press/media applications are now open. (Same form)
A limited number of Community Scholarship Booths are available for emerging Indigenous writers, youth, elders, and community literary organizations.
