This 4-piece powerhouse doesn’t just play the hits — they dig deep. The Stone Blossoms will have you flipping through the b-sides of your favorite records, chasing the songs you forgot you loved.
“We try to play all the tunes the other bands don’t,” says Mike Adkins (guitarist for Uncle Kracker).
Rooted in Classic Rock, the band specializes in deep cuts — but they’re never afraid to stretch a familiar favorite into uncharted territory. No two shows are ever the same. Inspired by the improvisational fire of the Allman Brothers, their sets lean into extended jams, spontaneous moments, and real-deal musicianship.
Matt LaPinta anchors the low end on bass while delivering a soulful, effortless vocal reminiscent of early John Fogerty. Drawing from the golden era of the 1960s and ’70s, you’ll hear music from artists like Eric Clapton, The Beatles, The Allman Brothers Band, Bob Seger, The Band, Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Pink Floyd, and The Eagles — just to name a few.
The heartbeat of the band is drummer and vocalist Bobby Myers (The Infatuations / Blackberry Brandy). Influenced by legends like John Bonham, Steve Jordan, and Jeff Porcaro, Myers brings a groove forged on stages across Metro Detroit’s most beloved venues.
Rounding out the sound is guitar standout Matt Hamann, whose blistering riffs and dynamic presence tie it all together. With Hamann, LaPinta, and Myers trading off lead vocals — and stacking rich, three-part harmonies — the melodies linger long after the last chord rings out.
Since forming in 2019, The Stone Blossoms have shared the stage with national acts including Grand Funk Railroad, Molly Hatchet, Larry McCray, Jim McCarty, and, of course, Uncle Kracker.
