The Stepsister's Ball - 2025 - PICK YOUR POISON!

Join us for the 2025 Stepsister's Ball at Arte Café on West 73rd Street, New York, NY (on the B/C or the 1 train) for an unforgettable evening! We're celebrating and fundraising for the New York Chapter of the Association for Women in Science. Get ready to dance the night away and enjoy some delicious bites, a full cash bar, and the company of fellow WINS supporters as we boogie-down to all our favorite tunes.

Our theme this year is: PICK YOUR POISON! It's been a year and we're ready to fight back with wicked weeds and sinister seeds. That's right we're celebrating poisonous plants, venomous animals, and the people who love them, us.

Dress to impress in your finest poison-inspired attire (or venom-inspired!), whether you prefer a classic cocktail outfit, a tuxedo, or a poison dart frog costume - we can't wait to see you in it!

Tickets are $50 (but dues-paying members of AWIS, our parent organization, pay only $40!) and again this year, we are also offering a special deal on mugs or pint glasses when you buy a ticket. Students get an additional discount as well.

The general admission ticket price below is the ticket for non-members. If you are a dues-paying member of WINS (the NY chapter of AWIS), you will receive a discount code for $10 off to the email address associated with your AWIS membership.

If you are not a dues-paying member, please consider becoming a member or renewing your membership with us! Go to https://www.awis.org/join/ and choose – NY Women in Natural Sciences as your chapter. Please email us after you join at [email protected] and we will send you the discount code once we've confirmed that you are on the member roster with AWIS.

If you are a student, please email us at [email protected] for a code to get an additional discount on top of the member discount, up to $20 off the general price. There are limited student discounts available.

This year, if you bundle your ticket with a mug or a pint glass, you can save some money with a special discounted glass/mug price! Just go to "add-ons". If you really want a mug or a pint glass please hurry, inventory is limited.
