The Stacks Presents C Plus & LabRats

Amatoria Fine Art Books and Abridged by PBS KVIE are thrilled to welcome a blazing star in the cosmos of Sacramento's hip hop scene. Ladies, Gentleman, and All Fine Folx, we give you C Plus featuring LabRats.

C Plus (aka Chaz Wheeler), is an independent rapper, songwriter, and producer who grew up in Sac and surrounding neighbborhoods like Carmichael and Natomas.

He started freestyling and passing out mixtapes in high school, developing a candid, conversational style that reflected the chaos around him. All his work has a chord of youthful joy or grownup melancholy. Sometimes both.

Talent is one thing but C Plus was a tireless worker known for his "crazy pen game." He has collaborated with groups like State Cap and Hippie Sabotage and other figurehands in the scene like Chuuwee and Brotha Lynch Hung.

As a special treat, Chaz will be backed up by jazz/funk/hip hop collective . Enjoy an exclusive, up-close 40-minute set surrounded by a curated selection of music & art books.

We'll have a quick Q & A with the artists where you can ask questions and load them up with praise, then stick around for refreshments, mingle with a roomful of creatives, and browse amazing books on the arts. We'll provide wine, beer, bubbly water, and snacks.

Doors! We open at 6:00 but will close at 6:30pm! This is a filmed event and to ensure no disruption, we cannot accommodate late entrance. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME.

Seating! Everyone gets a chair but we are a 25-capacity venue, so we we don't have room for walk-ins. No reservations, no entry.

Parking + Bike Rack! Please ride you bike, carpool, or take p-trans. If you are driving, we're in neighborhood neighborhood w street parking. Please be considerate of the neighbors.

Filming! This is a filmed event that will be the property of KVIE and shared on the Abridged platform. The focus is on the artists and the interviewer, but all concert guests may appear on film. By purchasing your ticket, you are giving permission for Abridged to use footage that may include you.
